For our 2022 Spring Decor Box, I partnered with one of my favorite home decor accounts on Instagram. Tina @tomimishousewego is a fellow Texan, home decorator and big supporter of small business. Therefore, you will find some of Tina’s favorite small shops and decorating inspiration featured in the Spring decor box.
I enjoy Tina’s style and passion for home decor from her over the top tablescapes to her ‘fluffy bedding’ & ‘fluffy coffee’ obsession! If you are not familiar with Tina, you can find her on Instagram, here. She shares her favorite finds and lots of inspiration from styling her home to instapot and air fryer recipes.
Tina has been sharing products from our shop since she began her Instagram journey over 3 1/2 years ago. Since then, we have become great friends in real life too! During one visit to Tina’s lakehouse, I styled her beautiful built-in shelves with a few finds from my shop. You can find tips to Style your Shelves like a Pro, here.
While Tina’s entire home is beautiful, there are a few spaces that are just iconic to her followers. For example, her amazing coffee bar and dish pantry are two favorites. Both spaces equally combine form and function.
Notably, her day begins with whipped or ‘fluffy coffee’ as she calls it. The tiled backsplash and open wooden shelves of her built-in coffee bar create a focal point in the breakfast nook. From flavored syrups to hand stamped spoons from The Sassy Barn, this coffee bar has everything you need to fill your cup. Or, Rae Dunn mug!
Next, Tina’s dish pantry includes lots of cabinet storage and a built-in hutch and plate rack to display her favorites. Since she loves to entertain for holidays and special occasions, she has acquired quite the collection of dishes and serving pieces. She is a big fan of our Made in Texas collection of bread boards, risers and trays.
In addition, Tina’s bunk room for the grandkids is the perfect space for ‘Mimi’s camp.’ Another wonderful space for her family to gather is her back porch flanked by an outdoor fireplace. You may notice that most of her home is styled with neutral furniture and paint. However, she loves to add a pop of color depending on the season.
Coincidentally, Tina calls lots of luxurious layers on the bed ‘fluffy bedding.’ Last Spring, she updated her main bedroom with new signs, blush pink and dusty blue pillows. The set of 3 patterned pillows are called ‘Marlow’ from our Laurel and Blush pillow collection.
Tina is definitely the ‘Queen of Tablescapes.’ I love how she layers each place settings with a variety of chargers, dishes, napkins and a small treat for guests. Then, she tops the table with a flower filled bouquet as the centerpiece. In the Spring, she loves to use fresh or faux tulips.
In the below left photo, Tina styled products from our Round Top Collection including the mustard dipped pottery and vintage sleigh to create a one of a kind centerpiece for Winter. Her out of the box thinking is combined with many ‘tried and true’ decorating ideas.
On the right, her Summer tablescape included pieces from one of our first Decor Boxes. For instance, the iron candlesticks, wooden bowl, hand sewn grass cloth napkins, and handmade cane chargers from 8FD Designs are from our 2021 Summer Decor Box. The table is decorated with lots of neutral textures like raw wood tones and pops of green.
Not only are Tina’s dining table centerpieces decorated to perfection, she creates amazing vignettes in every space of her home. Typically, her design formula includes risers, candles, candlesticks and greenery.
Tina loves to incorporate Reefrainaria Stamped Books, a female owned small business, as risers. Not only are they great for adding height to vignettes, but they add a touch of vintage charm. Lastly, Tina’s favorite hand poured candle is from another female owned small shop, Agape Candles. Of course, they smell amazing.
