Living Room

As you look for the perfect rug to tie together your living room, remember the rug is what your furniture is centered around. A larger rug will give your room a more comfortable and relaxing look. If you decide to place your couch completely on the rug, the rug should extend at least 6” on each side of it. It is also possible to create a unified look with a smaller rug by only placing the front legs of your couch and chairs on the rug. The layout of your room will determine the rug you should buy, it should be centered around your bed and nightstands. If you want your queen or king size bed and both night stands on the rug, get an 8’x10’ rug. If you’re wanting to show off your flooring consider getting 6’x9’ rug. A more budget friendly tip is to use a runner rug on both sides of the bed, instead of investing in a larger rug.
