Time at my grandma’s house has always been filled with laughter, nostalgia, and classic Southern cooking. My grandma has mastered the art of Southern cooking. The secret is to follow your tastebuds, and not a recipe! With that being said, here’s the best deviled egg recipe I have tasted!
Grandma’s best deviled egg recipe is a family favorite, so I am happy to share this one with you. Just remember, ingredients are key, but don’t be afraid to alter the amounts to get the flavor that you desire.
INGREDIENTS:
Optional Toppings
Instructions:
Cover the eggs in a saucepan of water & bring to a rolling boil over high heat for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, & let sit for 10 minutes. Next, remove eggs with a slotted spoon & place in ice bath for 10 more minutes. When eggs are done, peel & slice in half. Next, scoop out yolks in a medium sized bowl. Then, add ingredients to taste & mix well. Scoop out a spoonful of mixture & put it back into the halves of hard boiled eggs. Sprinkle with a dash of paprika & garnish with fresh dill.
Tip: A teaspoon of salt in boiling water will help prevent cracked eggs.
