Round Top, Texas is easily one of my favorite places to be. Beautiful Texas landscapes on the drive down, so many antiques and vintage finds, and so many friendly faces all on the same mission to dig for beautiful treasures. There are hundreds of places to stay in and around Round Top. We were so privileged to stay in downtown Schulenburg at the Das Meyer Haus during our trip to the Spring show of Round Top Antiques Week.
The historic Das Meyer Haus is one of the most beautiful places you can stay in. Gorgeous historic trim and other architectural elements charm the whole exterior. And don’t even get me started on the inside! They balance using light and neutral tones with the decor while adding pops of detail and vintage tones here and there to blend well with the house itself.
How gorgeous is this wrap-around porch with those fun colors?!
Waking up each day in this house brought my team so much inspiration before we even got to Round Top. It’s about a 30 minute drive to get to the antique fields. I can absolutely say it was worth it. Driving through the fun small towns on the way made for a fun bonus!
Returning back was even better. We were just so ready to jump back in the most plush beds each night. The furnishings are all so comfy while maintaining the luxe Victorian vibe of the house. It’s so easy coming home to the prettiest and most welcoming house at the end of a long shopping day at the fields.
Downtown Schulenburg has some fun shops and they usually have fun town-wide events going on. Definitely check their calendar before visiting to make sure you get the full experience.
The Hewitts, owners of the bed & breakfast, are the sweetest hosts and were ready to meet any and all of our needs. We really didn’t have any requests of them though because the house is filled with everything you could need.
It is fully loaded from the bathroom stocked with toiletries to the full size kitchen with dishes, spices & seasonings, and cookware! Side note: I totally love the trendy shelves over the windows in this kitchen. I definitely want to use it in one of my projects. Don’t forget to enjoy a freshly brewed cup of coffee in the morning too!
We are so thankful to the Hewitt’s for graciously hosting us at their Das Meyer Haus for our trip to Round Top. We made great memories in the house and will always remember our lovely stay there. It truly made the trip an unforgettable one. xo!
